Our Vintage 1461 3-eye shoe in Quilon Leather is a re-issue of the original Dr. Martens classic leather. Our Vintage range is handcrafted in the original factory (Wollaston, Northamptonshire, England) by cobblers using the original construction technique. Small visible indentations are left on the welt by the original stitching machine. Quilon Leather is only used on our Made in England Vintage styles. The base of Quilon Leather is a classic brown color contrasting the grain color, another feature known with vintage leather. As the leather ages and wears, scuff marks and flex points start to reveal the base color, which creates an aged and worn appearance.

The Goodyear welted sole is heat-sealed and welt-stitched for extra durability.

The air-cushioned DMS sole is oil and fat-resistant, tough and offers good abrasion and slip resistance.
