From Dr Martens' website: 1460 Vena’s use of human veins as pattern is a macabre, gothic interpretation of the classic 6-eye Dr. Martens boot. The boot’s satin interior and silver embroidery on the exterior combines with a set of six thick, oversized eyelets strung with rich velvet laces. It’s an elaborate nod to the Victorian era, when clothing was meant to be ornamental, and cadaverous blood vessels held a mysterious, grotesque beauty.
The 1460 Vena retains original Doc DNA like the grooved sides and heel loop, but the famous welt stitching and sole is black to the core. It’s constructed on our iconic air-cushioned sole, that's oil-and-fat resistant with good abrasion and slip resistance—and has been since 1960. The boot is Goodyear-welted, meaning the upper and sole are sewn together in our heat-sealed z-welt stitch. The boot features silver embroidery over Satin 250D.
Features Dr Martens' black stitching and black boot laces. If you're looking to personalize your boots, check out our selection of colored boot laces.
Care Instructions Clean away any dirt using a damp cloth and allow to dry.
Fit Notes: Dr Martens are available in whole sizes only - no half sizes are available. The Dr Martens 1460 boot runs true to size and we generally suggest that you order a size up if you do wear a half size in your footwear. Often, using a sole insert can alleviate the extra space if you are ordering a slightly larger size. Want additional advice on finding the best size for you, call 1-800-9VIXENS.
