From Dr Martens' website: The 1460 is the original Dr. Martens boot. The boot's instantly recognizable DNA looks like this: 8 eyes, a heel-loop, yellow stitching, and a comfortable air-cushioned sole with grooved edges.
This 1460 was created in homage to British post-punk band Joy Division and the cover art from Unknown Pleasures, their first album. The now-classic design, created by Peter Saville, is a visual translation of pulsar sound waves — explosive, raw and intense — much like the sound of the band. A natural fit for the 1460, the iconic imagery translates seamlessly into an emboss on our classic Smooth leather.
The Goodyear welted, air-cushioned sole is heat-sealed, welt-stitched for extra durability, is oil and fat-resistant, tough and offers good abrasion and slip resistance.
Features Dr Martens' black stitching and black boot laces. If you're looking to personalize your boots, check out our selection of colored boot laces.
Care Instructions Clean away any dirt using a damp cloth and allow to dry. Apply a correctly colored wax-based shoe polish to restore shine.
Fit Notes: Dr Martens are available in whole sizes only - no half sizes are available. The Dr Martens 1460 boot runs true to size and we generally suggest that you order a size up if you do wear a half size in your footwear. Often, using a sole insert can alleviate the extra space if you are ordering a slightly larger size. Want additional advice on finding the best size for you, call 1-800-9VIXENS.
