a little love from Book of Love , Susan & Ted Ottaviano signed up this super old classic 7 eye during their Meet & Greet held at our shop before their sold out show at Herman's Hideaway. The boot was donated to our Rockstar boot collection by Christine, she bought these Dr. Martens from us back in the early 90's
Backstage at the Summit Music Hall with Front 242 - we set the band up with a pair of Dr. Martens that they signed. The band is donating the boots to a charity auction in Chicago at the Cold Waves festival
This band rocks doc's! Eskil Simonsson said he has been after this hard to find Made in the UK 8 eyelet OX blood, guess where he found them... yep, and Daniel Myer was after some of the new "light" DM's, we had them too! The was the second time Covenant was in our shop, Eskil promised to visit us again, he said next time it won't take 15 years to come back!
More boots for the collection! Old friend of the shop Christine brought back a super old pair of 7 eye pointy toe Dr. Martens from about 1991. This was one of our top selling boots for years! It was cool to have them back in the shop and even cooler to have Covenant sign them up for us!
This was an exceptionally good day at FashioNation. A band we've followed for 30 years came rolling through the door. Clan of Xymox were playing at the Oriental Theatre and a friend of the store (Ajay) brought the boys in for a visit & Dr. Martens! They were cool in signing all our vinyl and autographed our "wall" .. pretty rad..!
When the boys from Xymox stopped in the shop we had them sign up a super old Uk made 10 eye Dr. Marten. An old customer bought back in the early 90's and wanted them added to the Rock Star Boot collection. I asked the band to sign the boot and they jumped right in. It was cool how much fun they had doing all the logos and all - this is my new favorite in the collection!
"Victory Not Vengeance" - Ronan Harris of VNV Nation signed up a cool old Dr. Marten boot for the collection. He was here in Denver for a Dj set at Milkbar
This was great day at the shop, having Paul Barker & Chris Connelly here with us... SO crazy! Touring with FLA we got to pick them up at the airport and take them around Denver + took them to our store (FashioNation) and set them up with Dr. Marten boots. It was really cool talking records with them, the guys signed up our all our Ministry, Pig face, Pailhead, Acid Horse & Lead into Gold vinyl, and to all of you who saw the Revolting Cocks / Ministry at the Gothic Theatre back in the day with the Fences up - they remember that too, saying it was one of their favorite shows!
"Who's your favorite Cock?".. we'll i'm not going there, but it was RAD to have Paul & Chris sign the wall + Paul Barker gave us a cool autograph on our "Jesus Built My Hotrod" motor oil. I got Ministry's Al Jourgensen to sign it on his first visit to the store back in 2004.
