We Care A Lot - about our boot collection and we were psyched to have Chuck from Faith No More sign this 14 eye DM up! Another recycled boot from our past, long time customer left it with us after replacing them, he wanted them 'in the collection' well.. he got it! thanks!
Two out of three ain't bad, we had Brian Richie & John Sparrow from the Violent Femmes in the shop before their big show at the Fillmore with Echo & the Bunnymen, No Gordon, he had something else going on.. But, these guys were Super Rad!!, we got Dr. Martens to set them up with Classic Doc's and they set us up at the show - i know.. same old story, but when you get to hang out with your heroes, it's always a good story!

as i was saying one an earlier post, a customer brought this pair of rare Harlequin Dr. Martens boot back to us that he purchased in the early 90's - he asked us to add them to our Rock Star boot collection and to do something special with them..well.. the Violent Femmes on the right foot, the Cure on the left. What a pair!!
This was pretty exciting! Daniel Ash, Kevin Haskins and Diva came to our shop to help us celebrate our stores 30th anniversary. We had a huge turnout with all the Bauhaus, Love & Rockets and Tones on Tail fans. The band signed stuff and took pictures with everyone who showed - totally RAD! They were in town playing at the Gothic theatre just up the street. The show was 'an American Dream' come true.
This was cool - and like i said, where do rock stars get their gear? Right here at FashioNation. We hooked up the boys with Dr. Martens and a badass Tripp jacket!
Daniel and Kevin were very gracious in taking time with their fans who showed up for the signing! The crazy stuff people brought in to get autographed!! WTF!! Bubblemen dolls, jackets, guitars, records, even cassettes. It made for an interesting day for sure!
Lisa Loeb at the shop today!!! - pretty dresses for a pretty girl and she was pretty rad!. Lisa performed at the Soiled Dove that night, friend of the shop (Rhett) hooked us up with tickets for the concert. During the show, Lisa spoke about her day in Denver, meeting new friends seeing old ones, then she totally gave us a big shout out from stage, talked about this 'cool shop' she went to 'FashioNation', all the cool clothes, all the cool songs playing in the shop, (cure echo smiths). it was a great night out! - update - Lisa's publicist sent us a note and photos, she wore one of our little black Tripp dresses for a TV appearance, she look totally cute!!
- A little one for the collection! We had a blast with Lisa Loeb when she came in for some dress shopping. We had her sign this apple green patent leather kids Dr. Martens boot, little did we know she had just released a children's record - kind'a cool!
Vic on Upright Bass, Tommy Koffin on Guitar and “E Ball” on Drums! The Koffin Kats back at FashioNation! They stopped in before their show at the Gothic, the boys have been in many times before, it was good to see them again.
