Cherri Blue! she picked up TUK Boots and left her autograph on the wall
here with Pam- owner of our shop and our daughter Sydney & store kid Lisa. Cherrie was so sweet with our daughter, at one point emptying her purse/backpack and allowed our daughter to put her stuffed animals in it carrying it around while they were visiting
E.A.T.B. ! we got Will on the wall! it was a blast to talk music with Will Sergeant. I usually never bring up music with bands, but he was signing my records and we spoke about a few 'favorite versions' of songs.. pretty rad.
the second time through the door with Nivek Ogre of Skinny Puppy, this time with his spin off band Ohgr. (he's with store kids Lisa & Mary in the photo)
Ogre came back to the shop, he was on tour with his band Ohgr (they were playing at the Ogden). We were amazed that he was still wearing the boots he got from us 4 years earlier back in 1997. They were beat to shit but still going strong. He needed a new pair of something, so we hooked him up with a pair of TUK buckle boots. I asked him what he was going to do with the old ones, he said we'd split them, he gets one- we get the other. Cool i thought, we'll take the left so we can say we have Ogre's "Left" boot .. the one he "Left' here.. you get the joke..;)
we had a cool day with Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze
Our good friend Jason at Live Nation was showing Glenn Tilbrook all the cool spots in Denver, He took him to 13th avenue and by our shop. Glenn came hobbling in on crutches but was still after a cool pair of Dr. Martens. We found him a rare pair of Bad Ass British Bulldog / Union Jack 8 eyes. He could barely try on booth boots due to his injury, but he wasn't going to be denied!
A Flock of Seagulls at the shop! Cool day at the shop, and Mike Score was really a great to talk with. I think he asked us more questions about US than any other rock star before him. He had great stories about "Hair" and how things came about, it was really fun to spend time with him.
Mike Score was great in the shop, he picked out some crazy ass Underground 8 eyelets!
